W. Clark Jernigan, M.D.
Dr. Jernigan has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery who specializes in shoulder disorders. He trained in orthopedic surgery at the Greenville Hospital system from 1981 until 1986, passing his orthopedic board examinations on the first attempt. With 30 years of experience, he has performed thousands of operations with a very high success rate.
Dr. Jernigan was a member of the orthopedic trauma team at the Greenville Hospital system in the first few years of its program as a level I trauma center and spent 10 years on staff at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. He has served patients in Vietnam (with REI) and in Cange, Haiti (with Partners in Health).
